Holland Engineering employed a steel frame structure to meet the unique architectural requirements of the Wood County Electric COOP building. 5” deep joist extensions along with steel tubes cantilever beyond the building envelope to support the sloping roof lines. Steel tubes were also joined together to create the dramatic “X’s” across the front of the structure. Steel braced frames and steel moment frames were designed to provide lateral stability to the structure.
